Events is not a spectator sport — 40 years from KFC promotions to running her own event company.
My story
I started my career at Kentucky Fried Chicken at 15 and was asked to join the promotions team — which led to promotional work and travelling to regional stores (very exciting in the late 70s!).
From there I went into advertising and marketing — some really exciting jobs and some really awful ones — finally landing at Myer as State Promotions Manager. Then BBC Entertainment booking bands, Assistant Site Manager at Rally Australia, working for sound and lighting companies, and finally starting my own event management business.
How I help
I'm direct and I'll tell it like it is. That doesn't mean being mean — it means telling you what you need to know to take the next step, and often giving you permission to do the thing that scares you. People develop real courage knowing I have their back.
Why I mentor
I want to help create a community of young people who want to change the world — and to share over 40 years of experience to give someone the chance to go to the next level.
