A career built on one question: does this sound interesting or exciting?
My story
I wanted to be a flight attendant. I called the Qantas HR department (yes, you could do that in 1999) and they told me to get some customer service experience, study tourism, and wait patiently for the next recruitment round. So I did. By the time I finished studying, I didn't want to be a flight attendant anymore.
My career since has been a series of choices underpinned by one question: "does this role sound interesting or exciting?" I've worked across Australia, New Zealand and Japan — I'll tell you all about it when we meet.
How I help
I'm a connector. Introducing people who I believe need to know each other is my superpower.
Why I mentor
To stay connected to the next generation and give back. It's my mission to illustrate the diverse career pathways within the tourism and events industries.
